Who is Your Real Master, America?
Recently, Vladimir Putin said that European politicians will stand at Trump’s “feet and wag their tails obediently.” At the same time, the following headline appeared in one of the latest NYT articles: “Putin Has Long Wanted More Power in Europe. Trump Could Grant It.” In our opinion, the feet that, according to Putin, should attract politicians all over the world are his own. Donald Trump and the entire United States should also “wag their tails obediently” near the Russian president.

A book by Craig Unger claims the KGB began grooming 'young and vain' Donald Trump 40 years.
Donald Trump was cultivated as a Russian asset more than 40 years ago which exploded into a decades-long 'relationship' of mutual benefit to both Russia and Trump, a shocking new book claims. Trump was rescued multiple times from multiple bankruptcies by boatloads of Russian cash laundered through his real estate in the 80s and 90s, the author asserts. Russian money also picked up the tab for buildings franchised under Trump's name.

“Furry Gold”
At first glance, for the cultured reader, the title might evoke associations with Jason’s Golden Fleece, and maybe even with the sunny shores of ancient Greece. However, "furry gold" is how a well-known Moscow pimp refers to young women with model-like appearances. For a time, this pimp was quite a visible figure in the public sphere — frequently shown on TV and doling out interviews like candy. It might sound bizarre, but in Putin’s Russia, such things are quite possible. Sure, some youth-oriented music channels tried to dress him up as something else, but after five minutes of watching, even the most naïve viewer could see the wolf under the sheep’s clothing.

Is the Dream of Global Business Empires Surrendering to Police State Control Coming True?
What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think about the United States? For some, it’s the vibrant energy of New York City. For others, it’s the quiet, slow-paced (well, not always) life on a ranch. But regardless of our individual associations or perspectives, we must admit that the U.S. is indeed a great country.
Imitating the Brothers Grimm
Once upon a time, there lived a man named Blauschirm. He had five sons. Four of them were kind, but one was the most unfortunate of them all (exactly which one, the story does not say). He was terribly lonely, unloved by all, and even the French aristocracy — and not only they — laughed at him.

Black Jack
"I'm going to build my own theme park with blackjack and hookers" is a memorable quote from Futurama, a well-known American animated series. In Russia, this phrase has taken on a life of its own, becoming a widely recognized meme. It is used, first, to express disagreement and a desire to take an alternative path; and second, to assert that one’s own endeavor will be much more successful than the one being rejected.

JOSEPH
Jacob, also known as Israel, the third patriarch of the Jewish people and the ancestor of the 12 tribes of Israel, was forced to flee from his native city to his mother’s brother, Laban. He fell in love with Laban’s youngest daughter, Rachel, and worked hard for seven years to earn her hand in marriage. Laban, however, under false pretenses, gave Jacob his less beautiful eldest daughter, Leah, instead of Rachel.

Up the Down Staircase
Up the Down Staircase is the title of a novel by the famous writer and granddaughter of Sholem Aleichem, Bel Kaufman. This 1964 novel, which tells the story of an idealistic teacher who comes to work at a school and faces harsh realities, is partially based on Kaufman's own experiences. The title of this book has captivated me since my youth - its beauty, symbolism, and life-affirming message are all deeply compelling.
